
On July 13th the President of Kyungnam University, Park Jae Kyu, signed a business agreement at the International Conference Hall of the Institute for Far Eastern Studies in Seoul with Lee Joo-wan, Representative Director of MegazoneCloud; Roh Chung-seak, Director of Gyeongnam TechnoPark; and Choi Hyung-du, Member of the National Assembly to develop the Super-Giant Manufacturing AI Industry in the South Gyeongsang Province (SGP). Through this agreement, each institution pledged to cooperate in developing and advancing the initiative of Super-Giant Manufacturing AI Industry, including developing core technologies, establishing and operating infrastructure, securing budgets, and executing projects, to enhance mutual development and exchange.
With this agreement as its focal point, Kyungnam University plans to apply Super-Giant AI to the manufacturing industry, which is a key industry in SGP. This initiative aims to lead the growth of emerging industries in SGP and establish Masanhappogu, where the university is located, as a global innovation hub for the Super-Giant Manufacturing AI Industry. As part of this plan, they intend to establish and operate research centers related to this effort.
