KU held the 72nd post-graduation ceremony for the 2020 academic year on August 20. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 during the ceremony, KU authorized strict health and safety rules for those who were participating in the ceremony. Only a few people, graduates and Representatives who were giving out awards during the ceremony, participated in the event, and it was carried out in a simplified procedure. The commencement ceremony produced a total of 1,013 graduates including 46 doctorate degrees, 173 master's degrees, 681 bachelor's degrees, and 113 graduates from the Graduate School of Public Administration's top level course for the future of reunification. In the celebration address, President Park Jae Kyu congratulated and encouraged all the graduates by saying, “Today, I would like to thank both all the graduates who have received honorable degrees and everyone who encouraged them." He added, "Graduates, based on their flexible and creative thinking power, will proudly move to society as experts in each field and demonstrate their capabilitie
