On Jan. 22, Park Jae Kyu, President of Kyungnam University (KU), delivered a special lecture to the participants in the 15th Executive Program for the Future of Korean Unification (EPFKU) at Peace Hall in Changjo Gwan, hosted by the Graduate School of Public Administration (GSPA).
Speaking on “The Situation on the Korean Peninsula and Changes in InterKorean Relations,” President Park reviewed recent inter-Korean developments and emphasized the need to understand the Korean Peninsula within a broader international context, noting North Korea’s strategic responses amid shifting global dynamics.
He also discussed the realities facing North Korean residents and shared his perspectives on key challenges to peace and coexistence. The lecture was attended by approximately 100 participants, including members of the 15th cohort and alumni from various other classes of the program.
The EPFKU, jointly operated by the GSPA and the University of North Korean Studies (UNKS), is an executive policy education program covering unification, diplomacy, security, and related fields. The 15th cohort ran through late January 2026.
