On August 20 at 10:30 a.m., Kyungnam University (KU) held its 76th commencement ceremony for the 2024 academic year in the Grand Conference Room on the fourth floor of the Main Building. The event celebrated graduates, as they marked the beginning of their next chapter of their lives.
A total of 765 degrees were conferred: 35 doctoral, 190 master’s (50 from the Graduate School, 26 from the Graduate School of Industrial Management, 73 from the Graduate School of Education, and 41 from the Graduate School of Public Administration), and 540 bachelor’s.
In his congratulatory address, KU President Park Jae Kyu praised the graduates, noting that their success was made possible by their efforts and support from their families and professors. He emphasized that even as KU marks its 79th anniversary with achievements like the RISE project, graduates remain at the heart of the university’s mission. He also called on them to become responsible members of society.
After the ceremony, graduates, their families, and faculty members gathered to take
commemorative photos and share in the celebratory atmosphere. The university also announced the list of doctoral degree recipients.
