Hello, my name is Park So-young, and I am currently studying in the Department of Art Education at Korea National University of Education. Thanks to a friend who is a reporter of the Kyungnam Times (KT), I had the opportunity to read the 201st issue of KT this year.
Exploring the diverse topics covered in KT provided a valuable experience and gave me a comprehensive understanding of current social issues and events at Kyungnam University (KU).
Among the articles, I was particularly drawn to the “Special Contribution Commemorating the 200th Issue of KT” and “The only way to do great work is to love what you do,” which emphasized the importance of pursuing what you truly love.
I was most surprised to hear that KT has already published over 200 issues. The article, which included the vivid experiences of a professor currently working at KU, provided a compelling glimpse into the professor’s connection with an interest in KT. It also highlighted the historical significance and impact of KT.
Additionally, the article “The only way to do great work is to love what you do” used Steve Jobs’ famous quote as its title, and it left a deep impression on me. Many people strive for success, but often struggle to find what they truly enjoy, which can hinder their achievements. This article clearly explained why following one’s passion is crucial and provided me with valuable insights.
Participating in ‘Letters to the Editor’ has allowed me to revisit current issues and reflect on my own work. It was an opportunity to reassess my commitment and resolve to approach my work with greater passion.
I look forward to the continued development of KT and eagerly anticipate the articles in the next issue. Thank you!
