Kyungnam University Holds 2025 Global Hanma Program Closing Ceremony
Kyungnam University (KU) held the 2025 Global Hanma Program Closing Ceremony on August 21 at the Grand Auditorium in Hanma Gwan. Launched in 1996, the Global
Hanma Program (GHP) is an annual international exchange program that promotes cultural and language exchange between KU students and those from partner universities worldwide. This year, 29 students from 13 universities in six countries—Japan, China, Taiwan, the United States, the Philippines, and Mexico—joined the threeweek program, which began on August 4 and included Korean language classes, K-POP dance lessons, and diverse cultural activities.
Participants enjoyed a wide range of activities, including watching an NC Dinos baseball game, attending a Nanta performance in Seoul’s Myeongdong district, and experiencing traditional Confucian scholar culture at Masan Hyanggyo. During the closing ceremony, students performed a collaborative dance they practiced with the university’s dance club, DIF.
Go Ho-seok, Vice President for Public Relations, said, “I hope this program serves as a steppingstone for students to thrive on the global stage.” The participating students expressed their gratitude, saying that they were thankful for the valuable learning experience provided by KU. Through the GHP, KU aims to further expand its international exchange opportunities and strengthen its students’ global competitiveness.
