Kyungnam University Wins First Place in Agent Architecture Category at UC Berkeley’s Agentic RDI AgentX Competition

  Kyungnam University (KU), in collaboration with local manufacturing AI specialist NEXT STUDIOS Co., Ltd. and ANYTOY Co., Ltd., won first place in the Agent Architecture category at the Berkeley RDI AgentX–LLM Agent MOOC Competition held at the University of California, Berkeley, on August 2.

 Hosted by UC Berkeley’s RDI (Responsible Decentralized Intelligence) Center, this global LLM (Large Language Model) agent development competition attracted numerous prestigious universities, including UC Berkeley, Standford University, Carnegie Mellon University, MIT, Yale University, the University of Oxford, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

  KU, in partnership with NEXT STUDIOS Co., Ltd. and ANYTOY Co., Ltd., formed the “GNAIX” team and won the Agent Architecture category in the competition’s Research Track. The team presented an AI-powered manufacturing system that enables rapid production changes and direct on-site control, successfully demonstrating full automation.

  Yu Nam-hyun, head of the Intelligentization Project Group, remarked, “This victory shows KU’s manufacturing AX capabilities have achieved global competitiveness, and we will work to promote the spread of ‘human-AI collaborative factories’ to lead 
regional and national manufacturing.”
