The President of Kyungnam University (KU), Park Jae Kyu, held a special lecture at the Peace Hall of the Changjogwan on September 21 for the members of the 10th Top Course of the Unification Future (TCUF) of the Graduate School of Public Administration. The special lecture was held under the theme of "Changes in the International Situation and the Future of the Korean Peninsula," attended by more than 100 members of TCUF.
In this special lecture, President Park Jae Kyu elaborated on four big issues: direction and future of peaceful unification of the Korean Peninsula; North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un’s policy for the preservation of the regime; the denuclearization strategy between inter-Korea and U.S. and the policy toward North Korea; and the meaning of the declaration of the end of war in the Korean Peninsula.
TCUF is a course, based on the long history and outstanding achievements made by KU and the University of North Korean Studies in the field of North Korea and Unification. It is aimed at deliberating on a peace settlement in Northeast Asia and the future of the Korean Peninsula by sharing knowledge, strategies, and visions for a unified future.
In each course, the nation's top experts with abundant experience in the field of unification, diplomacy, and security were invited as lecturers to present insight into the past, present, and future of the Korean Peninsula. A total of 133 people registered for TCUF, whose members consisted of politicians, legal professionals, policemen, professors, CEOs and so on.
