
College of General Education of KU (Dean Jeon Young-rok) held a special lecture under the theme of ‘The 4th Hanma Personality Education & Democracy Peace Citizenship Education’ on October 1st. This program was part of the university innovation support project and it is aimed at making participants systematically study democratic movements which happened in the region and making them have right awareness of democracy and the community. At the event, Seol Jin-hwan, chairman of the Bu-Ma Democratic Movement Commemoration Project, presented under the theme of "From the Forgotten Bu-Ma Democratic Movement to the Bu-Ma Democratic Movement with You," and Jung Sung-ki, professor of KU presented about "Historical Bu-Ma Democratic Movement and KU & Overcoming the Crisis of Democracy." The program was open to all KU students who could watch the lecture videos through e-class. The participant students will receive scholarship mileages and other benefits. Meanwhile, Jung Eun-sang, professor of KU and Director of KU News and Press and also in charge of 'Hanma Personality Education & Democracy Peace Citizenship Education,' said that active participation of KU students and research professors is expected for the program during the next semester.
