
Kyungnam University (KU) has recently won the best A grade for the second consecutive year in University Innovation Support Project Performance Evaluation held by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea. As a reward, about 20% of the project cost will be given to KU as an additional incentive. Until now, KU has aimed to be the university that innovates for student success and contributes to the region. To establish this goal, KU has been striving to operate future-oriented curriculum and build smart learning space through job modulebased curriculum innovation, high-tech high-touch learning-oriented teaching, and innovation of the student guidance system for personalized career counseling. In this performance evaluation, KU was highly evaluated due to its mid- to long-term development plan, visions and business goals, and innovation strategies linked to experience-based blended education and self-organized learning environment (SOLE). KU has made efforts to provide a variety of high-quality educational infrastructures, including the establishment and operation of a remote education center to establish a non-face-to-face education system. President Park Jae Kyu stated, “Efforts of KU to reorganize its future-oriented education organization and advance the educational environment have been paid off." He also strengthened his ambition, saying, "Based on this evaluation, we will focus our capabilities on becoming a university that is more dedicated to student success and contributes to the region and local community.
