Kyungnam University (KU) has closed its application for the 2022 school year on September 14th, 2021. As a result, the registration recorded 8,389 applicants for 2,161 vacancies, and a total competition rate was 3.88 to 1. Among the applicants for this early recruitment, those who are eligible to submit documents could visit the Office of Admissions in the main building by 24th of September. Table 1 shows the admission rates of each type of application. As you see, Physical Education recorded the highest rate, followed by Regional Injae with the rate of 6.54 to 1. KU will establish the Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and the Department of Health and Medical Information in 2022. The purpose of the Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering is to cultivate talented people who can lead high-tech pharmaceutical industries through basic pharmaceutical education. Subsequently, the Department of Health and Medical Information is significant in fostering professionals in the field of healthcare information and hospital administration with health care knowledge and Information Technology (IT). In addition, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and software convergence universities will be established to cope with the demand for manpower due to the development of future industries related to AI and software development.
