KU held the 72nd Graduation Ceremony on February 19, 2021 in the conference room of the main building. In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, only the graduate degree ceremony was held. Under thorough quarantine regulations, the degree ceremony was attended by a small number of graduation recipients, President Park Jae Kyu, and the representatives and officials of each graduate school. As a result, KU produced 1,926 outstanding graduates in 2020 with 35 doctorate degrees, 157 master’s degrees, 1,709 bachelor’s degrees, and 25 CEO courses. During the ceremony, President Park gave a speech saying, "Despite the unprecedented COVID-19 situation, I sincerely congratulate you on your graduation, you have worked hard for your studies and future more than anyone else. I hope you can fully develop your skills in various fields of society.”
