KU held the 9th Presidential Student Debate Contest on November 23. A total of 54 people from 27 teams participated in the debate. After the preliminary round held on November 6, a total of four teams advanced to the finals and held a heated discussion under the theme ofIs local currency necessary to revitalize local commercial districts? As a result, the Final Five Minutes team, consisting of Kim Bum -yong and Kim Joo-un, freshmen from the Department of Military Studies, won the grand prize and received a prize of 1 million won. Subsequently, the Breaking the Limit team, consisting of Jeong Soo-ha, a junior from the Department of Psychology, and Yeo Tae-won, a sophomore from the Department of Computer Engineering, won the gold medal. The silver medal was won by the Win-Win team, consisting of Kim Jung-yoon, a senior from the Department of Administration and Kim Jun-ha, a junior from the Department of Home Education, while the Cub team, consisting of Seo Song -yi, a freshman from the Department of Psychology and Kim Song-bin, a freshman from the Department of Computer Engineering won the bronze. Park Jae Kyu, President of KU, said, "Since it is a competition designed to foster students' diverse thinking skills and revitalize the discussion culture, all participating students must have received help for future growth. I hope they will be reborn as talented people in various fields of society based on today's experience."
