A Senior of the Department of English Education
After I read KT, I noticed that it is very helpful for me since it gave me a lot of things to think about. I was especially interested in the article on COVID-19 in the issue of September. It is said that not only students but also faculty members experienced unusual situations because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, it gave rise to some questions of what kind of changes the school would suffer during the pandemic. After I thought about them, I have gained a great deal of courage to deal with the changes that COVID-19 creates. Therefore, I want to share one of the solutions for coping with the present situation. As we have already experienced, we are in a very desperate time because of COVID-19. Though that is true, we must not get frustrated with it. That is because all of us have the hidden power to overcome every hardship. In order for you to draw that power, I suggest you think about the advantages originating from COVID-19. For instance, I have gained more time to communicate with my family. Since the pandemic, the average leave time of our family including me has become shortened. Thus, we can be together longer than before and share each other’s worries, opinions, etc. Second, I have more free time to develop myself. I used to have very little free time to develop myself because I was very busy with many school tasks. However, the pandemic has provided me with more free time to do such things as preparing for TOEIC and the Korean History Exam. In conclusion, I suggest you think about your own advantages that COVID-19 offers you. There must be something good for you. Positive thinking helps you get through any hardship. If you do that, you will have more confidence in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic.
